Arrive at Kanombe International Airport where you will be welcomed by a Gorilla Sights Safari guide and transferred to Volcanoes National park.
After breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a brief meeting about the do's and don’ts of the gorilla trekking when you are with the mountain gorillas then set off into the rain tropical forest to begin Gorilla tracking which usually takes between 3-8 hours. This activity involves passing through the muddy and thick forest, thus it is advisable to move with packed lunch, bottled water, jean trousers, non- flash cameras, rain gear and strong boots, however, when you meet the gorillas you will dis remember all the difficulties you prior went through.
Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
From Volcanoes National park then transfer to Nyungwe forest national park. En route for lunch then proceed to Nyungwe Forest National park arriving late in the evening. Check in to your booked accommodation on arrival for your dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast then after be transferred by your guide to the forest to search for our man’s closet relatives chimpanzees. They are excellent fun to watch as they are playing in fruitful trees. The activity usually takes between 1-6 hours and this usually depends on their movement. You will be allowed to spend only one hour with them. You will also view several other primates in Nyungwe including L'Hoest's Monkey, Rwenzori colobus, Silver monkey, owl-faced monkey, and the red-tailed monkey. Return to the lodge for lunch then in the evening go for a guided nature walk in the forest, giving you an opportunity to view a variety of animals and several species of birds.
Have breakfast then return to Kigali- Rwanda’s capital city. En-route at Genocide memorial of Murambi- a place where you will be explained about the 1994 Rwanda Genocide. Proceed to Kigali for your Dinner and overnight stay.
Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast then transfer to Akagera National park. The park is located in the Eastern part of Rwanda along the Rwanda- Tanzania border. Check in to your booked accommodation on arrival for your dinner and overnight.
Today, you be driven to the Savannah areas of the park to search for the big herds of the games including; lions, giraffes, elephants, topi, impalas, Burchell's Zebra, and a lot of avian life including the shoe billed stock and African Jacana. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch then go for the afternoon boat trip along lake Ihema to see a large number of hippos then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Rise up then have an early breakfast then be driven back to Kigali. If time permits, visit the local markets, and genocide memorial sites and the education center with lunch en route. Transfer later to Kigali International airport for your international flight.
